Presently the department has intake of 60 and it is affiliated to Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded with autonomous status conferred in 2004.
This program aims to mould the students into excellent engineering professionals by exposing them to different aspects of Civil Engineering (Structures, Transportation, Hydraulics, Environmental, Water Resources and Geotechnical engineering). Complementing these inputs are interdisciplinary subjects like computer programming, optimization techniques, numerical methods and remote sensing. Students will be prepared with knowledge and skills for global market. The course is well recognized for the high quality of teaching and research activities. Students of second and third year undergo compulsory field training for one month. Facilities of department include laboratory for concrete and material testing, fluid mechanics, geology, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering and very well equipped computer center. The department puts in special efforts for training and placement of the students. Students are also encouraged and provided guidance to appear for GATE and other competitive examinations like MPSC, IES, etc.
The department has well qualified and experienced faculty and technically competent supporting staff on its rolls. Seven faculty members have doctoral degrees. Department conducts training programmes for UG & PG in emerging areas of Civil Engineering.
